St Shenouda is one of the fifth century’s most popular monastic fathers of the Egyptian desert. He was the abbot of the White Monastery for over 65 years and his community grew to around 2200 monks and 1800 nuns. St Shenouda reached a high degree of spirituality that made him worthy for our Lord Jesus Christ to frequently visit and talk to him. He lived an angelic spiritual life and departed at the age of 120 years and left us with many invaluable lessons which can be learnt through reading this book.
